this is the first time dean has seen castiel in a year  look at how wide his eyes get how his mouth drops slightly  how it takes him a moment to register that sam has even said anything because he’s too busy holding castiel’s gaze and all it took for cas to show was one little prayer and he comes flying dean has to realize that now that he could have seen cas any time he wanted but maybe for that year he was with lisa he didn’t want cas to see him god this was such a great scene
